A walkthrough using Google Calendar will be embedded here.
1

Create a calendar

In Google Calendar, Outlook, or iCloud — whichever you already use. Add your recurring events (Public Skate, Stick & Puck, lessons, etc.).

2

Make it public

One setting in your calendar app. Generates a public URL anyone can read — but only you can edit.

3

Send us the URL

Paste it into our Add Rink form. Your schedule page goes live at rinkhunters.com/schedule/your-rink within a day.

See it in action

Three rinks already publish their schedules on Rink Hunters. Click any of these to see what your rink's page would look like:

Hamilton Community Center & Ice Arena
Columbus, IN · Google Calendar
Winnipeg Winter Club
Winnipeg, MB · Google Calendar
Berglund Center
Roanoke, VA · Google Calendar

Note: example links go live once we deploy the scheduler — substitute your actual hosted URL here.

What calendars does this work with?

Any calendar tool that lets you publish a public iCalendar (ICS) feed — which is most modern ones. Here's the honest landscape:

Google Calendar

The easiest setup. Free, widely used, well-documented.

Microsoft Outlook

Works with Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 / Office 365.

Fully supported · Guide coming

Apple iCloud Calendar

Works on Mac, iPhone, and iPad. We handle the technical bits.

Fully supported · Guide coming

Other tools (Nextcloud, TeamUp, WordPress, RecTrac, etc.)

If your tool can give you a public .ics URL, paste it and we'll display it.

Supported · Talk to us

If your current setup is a PDF, a Facebook page, or a static website you don't enjoy updating — that's exactly who we built this for. We'll help you switch.

Why we built it this way

We didn't build our own calendar editor. Google Calendar, Outlook, and iCloud are already excellent — and your staff probably already knows one of them. Asking you to learn a new tool just to publish a schedule felt like the wrong trade.

Instead, we focus on what we're uniquely good at: making your schedule look great on Rink Hunters, keeping it in sync automatically, and helping skaters find your rink in the first place.

Want help setting it up?

For the first 50 rinks signing up, we'll personally walk you through this on a quick call — about 15 minutes. Free, no pitch, just helping you get launched. Especially if you're not sure where to start or your current setup is "we just update a PDF every year."

Send us a note — we'll set yours up with you →

Ready to give it a try?

Two paths from here. Both are free.

  1. Do it yourself — follow the 3-minute video (once recorded), or use Google Calendar's own help docs, then paste the URL into our Add Rink form.
  2. Let us help — send us a note through our Report an Issue form with your rink's name and we'll walk through it together.
